Coolant Temperature 'Extra' Indicator

I agree there ought to be a klaxon and strobe light to indicate overtemp or lack of oil pressure. Something like that to indicate battery voltage less than 13 wouldn't be a bad idea either, though less catastrophic in nature.

Unfortunately anything like this would need custom work. I envision using the equalizer DIN connector as an easy path from an audio switch to route the klaxon to the stereo speakers instead of what passes for music among my kids, but that is based on the stock stereos, which most kids have given upturned noses.

Hey, here's an opportunity for invention... speaking as an older person who has missed a gauge scan once or twice.
