No Power 200 1981

Thanks to all for help with the OD - it's works beautifully.

But there is another problem that has been driving me nuts as I resurrect this old brick: it PERFORMS like a brick, no power.

I don't expect Porsche performance, but the B21F struggles to pull my 240DL up a long 5% grade in third w/ OD off, finally clears the top about 55 after starting up the hill at 65. On an 8% grade near here it finally drops into low and barely manages 20mph. Timing set to specs, good plug and wires, cam timing correct (on notch at TDC) - tail pipe's black, so it's not too lean (so I doubt problems w/ control pressure or fuel delivery), clean air filter . . . it's not missing or surging, runs smooth but gutless.

I eventually plan to intall the injection system from my '86, but till then, I really think it should outperform a 40hp VW! Any suggestions welcome.
