AC recirc questions 900

I searched for a way to make the recirc engaged full time. My car has the usual loss of dash vent air during acceleration and the recirc bellows is bad-it won't close the door. I have read the posts about just dealing with no recirc but I would prefer full time recirc to full time outside air. So I crawled under the passenger side dash and had a look. If I push the recirc button and manually close the door it will hold nearly closed. It will not budge toward closing if the recirc button is off and then engaged. Anyway, I wonder if I can prop, or otherwise fix, the door in the recirc position? Anyone found a good way to do this job?
Thanks,

David
