89 240 still won't run,have checked ecu,icu ,relays by trying them in my other 89 200

everything worked before i took the engine out,i must have forgot to hook something up or missed a ground wire ,but can not find the answer,i do not have the exhaust attached, would that affect the starting? i mean the O2 sensor not reading the exhaust.....? kris
