81 245glt 200

my 81 245glt is really acting gay. well its like this my car normally runs rather cool no matter how long im running it, so i noticed a few days ago that when i was moving my car actually reached normal temp which isnt normal for my car, then it started idling at 3k wow really gay. and i noticed when it is idling that high i find oil under my car when i park it, but when i check my oil its dosent appear to be leaking any. if i let the car sit for an hour depending on outside temp it will go back to working normally and idling normally. i got up yesterday morning to see if i could find an oil leak. i find my motor to have significant wet spots from oil on it, but i cant find an actual area where the oil could be comin from, i started it up and looked under it, no oil leakin, i reved it a few times for a couple minutes and still no oil leakin and it is still at normal idle. but then i drove it for an hour getting on it until it started idling at 3k again, and yup oil leak returns... anybody got any suggestions??? i also found a tube that was stickin out of my rack and pinion boot it had a flared end on it but i couldnt find anything it might have been connected with and nothing is leakin out of it and my ps is working jus great.
