B230FT - crank sproket timing mark?

Still working on the busted timing belt on my 89 740T. Thanks to your help, everything is off and ready to receive the new timing belt. I've located all three of the alignment dots on the timing belt cover, and also two of the three marks on the gears - I just can't find a timing mark on the crank sproket.

I read in Steve Ringlee's faq that there is a mark on the flange washer. Mine has a notch cut in it opposite the keyway cutout. Is that what I should use? Is it the keyway cutout or the notch directly opposite?

On the sproket itself, I saw a little line on the shaft and some writing on one of the teeth. None of these three marks are in sync with the others.

Did I miss something when reading through these sites? Is there anyplace else I could look this up?
