here is the problem of problems, i have a 1986 245 lh2.2 4 sp/od. 228k miles,volvo run great and alot of fun with one problem. no rust.had for 16 years. ipd suspension.molbile1 in trans,motor,rear end.i love this volvo. so,here is my problem. i accelerate to 2500 rpm-hot or cold- it does not matter,at 2000 to 2500 rpm-my volvo dies and power surges often until i push in the clutch and the rpms fall back down to 1000 rpms.i might go through this surging 3 to 5 times before it goes back to normail driving. now, that leaves me to think about the ignition module bosch 1346107--*the plug in at the bosch 1346107 ignition control moduleis a orange colcored-i tested my 245 system with a white 1346107 module and i could not crank and run. put my orange plug in 1346107 module backin my 245 and the volvo cranked and ran. so, that tells me that the 1346107 ignition modules are colored coded. now, can i take a match set of white 1346107 distributor and box and install it my 245 volvo? can that work SECOND can someone tell how a knock sensor work.here is what i have done-main pump and prepump and filter-fuel pump relay-replaced NTC switch-replaced oxygensensor-ck and changed out the ECU-ck for intake leaks-new air filter- hole in holes from mass air meterfixed-change air mass sensor,tested it with a another bosch one-flame trap and holes-new dist cap and wires,rotor,cleanned all grounds-trottle swithsh-changed the 25 amp fuse-new coil-new air filter,cleaned trottle body. SO>CAN ANY VOLVO PERSON HELP ME OUT WITH AN ANSWER___PLEASE. thank you, kim richardson
