Intermittent stalling problems not limited to B230FT 700

I was remarking to a good friend that does custom body panels for old Thunderbirds, about the intermittent stalling and plug fouling that I have experienced from time to time with the 765T and of course the many others that I have read about. What goes along with that is having to wait a few minutes for a restart. He said that Mazda always had those problems with the rotary engine because of the intial low compression on startup. Their solution, even on the newer models, is to have a full throttle kill switch for the fuel pump(s) so the plugs will clear while cranking. It would be fairly easy to install a cutoff switch either on the throttle body or manually operated in the driver's compartment to accomplish the same on a 700 series that was giving trouble. If wired through a relay that was pulled in by the ignition switch in the start position, the fuel pump would run as soon as the key was released.
