1800 rebuild HELP!!! 1800 1963

I am currently starting the first phases of rebuilding a 63 Jensen that I bought a while back. I have tons of questions. First did any of the 1800s come with a rack and pinion steering setup? Does anyone know of any racks that would fit on an 1800? Also I am putting a b23ft in has anyone here done this swap? I know that there are a few guys that have sites with these swaps done but I am looking for someone that I could talk to about it. I am looking to do no chassis chopping as this is a Jensen and as such quite rare. I know that I am going to have to switch the oil pan but I am not very clear on the details of the oil pump/pickup issue. One major issue is the clearance of a possible t-5 swap. I have not heard anything about someone trying this in an 1800 but I have heard that the m41 is very similar to the m46 and if so then I would think that a t-5 would also fit. Thanks for all the help in advance.

Spencer
