INFORMATION REQUEST 444-544

Skeet,
First you need to check the throttle shafts for wooble. If the shafts are loose, they will need to be repaired by a good SU carb rebuilder. If you don't need throttle shafts rebushed, the rebuild is pretty simple. Just start removing parts with a note as to assembly location. It is important to soak new cork gaskets for a day or so in oil. If you don't, the carbs are likely to leak. Also, do one carb at a time so you retain a reference if needed. A good rebuild kit will run about $100 with new jets. A pro rebuild will set you back about $350.
Good luck
