1996 Volvo 960 Station wagon 139K_Weird Electrical Problem 900

I just purchased by 3rd Volvo 960 Station (1996, 139K). Although the engine appears to be in great shape, I'm puzzled with an electrical problem. From earlier records retrieved from the Volvo dealer, it appears that several fixes have been attempted to fix the electronics.

During my drive home after purchasing the vehicle, the horn honked once by itself followed by both right and left turn signals blinking simultaneously for about 20 seconds, again with no input from me. The same thing happened tonight on my way home tonight. Doesn't happen during the day--only when driving at night? Anyone else have this experience?

Thanks in advance for your help.
