POR-15 good stuff? S90-V90 1998

Hi guys,

I noticed during the pre-purchase inspection of my V90 that it has some minor surface rust on the floor around a few spot-weld joints and on the engine k-frame. Nothing major, but I'm planning to eliminate it. I was going to grind or sandblast the spots, coat them with Metal Ready and then POR-15. It looks like the 'Super Starter Kit' is all I need. I've never used this stuff before, but I've heard it's good. I was just curious to know if it was the best stuff to put on polished (or close to polished as possible) surface rust areas. After the POR-15 dried, I would over coat with a good rubberized undercoating. I must say, Volvo really skimped on the undercoating on the V90s. My 745s have far better factory undercoating. I don't want ANY rust on my V90 for a long time, so I want to make sure it's repaired/protected properly.
