Will not restart after warming up 200 1985

My 85 245 starts up right away, but will not restart if the car has run long enough to warm up and is shut off. If you let it sit and cool down, will restart immediately.I have not driven the car for any long distance lately because I was concerned about getting stranded, so I am unsure if it would also cut out while driving. It has not done that on the short (20 mile or so) trips I have taken. The "pre heater hose was replaced recently-Faulty air box thermostat??, What do I need to check/replace?
