driveshaft center support bearing 700 1985

I have been hearing the whinning noises for a while now ...my guess is it is the center support bearing after reading FAQ's.

My wuestion is if left alone will the bearing eventually seize and make turning the drive shaft much harder?

I'm getting chugging under load in all gears for last coupld of days.

I'm going to try dry gas and ck to make sure plug boots are on as well.

Any ohter suggestions or trouble shooting procedures?

Thanks

Mark
