hey guys, i'm puting my second '86 wagon up for sale and thought to ask your opinions on my starting price. I'm definately trying to get the most out of what i've got so i know it's probably more than i'd pay, but i also seek out basket cases for cheap so here goes!
replaced ball joints and tie rod ends, alignment. replaced transmission and overdrive solenoid (old tranny was going), overdrive relay. replaced lenses, belts, plugs, o2 sensor, cleaned throttle body and adjusted idle speed. replaced speakers and grills, new drivers seat upholstery and the rest is fine. Replaced rusty hatch with rust free hatch from texas. new tailgate wiring harnesses, tires at 70%. New brake pads and front calipers and bled. REPLACED BLOWER MOTOR *sigh* No rust except a couple small spots on lower floor pans and a little under the drivers rear window from condensation when it sat for a year. New rear shocks.
Everything has been cleaned and tuned up and starts up first try everytime. The A/C also works but needs a recharge again.
i live in indiana and was going to put it out in front of the local import auto parts place with "$2500 or best offer" on the window. the owner of the store has seen the car and says that he thinks its a fair price and he has years and years of volvo experience.
What do you guys think??? Thanks in advance!
