charcoal cannister 200

hey does anyone know about 80s charcoal cannister hoses? my manuals say theres a hose coming from the fill tube on the gas tank then to a valve near the differential and then to cannister under the front fender , but i have a hose (not the one to fuel pump/fuel return line) coming off the top of the gas tank connected to an s shaped metal piece , this s shaped piece was just hanging there and theres a broken hose on the top of the gas tank and a broken hose going to front of car (bundled with other fuel lines) the filler tube hose is ok, so my car has 2 ????? hoses coming from the tank , i'm baffled!!!!!! the manual says 2 hoses go to the throttle from the cannister and only 1 from the gas tank WHAT IS UP WITH THIS, the dealer doesn't even know!!!!
