Hard to find front end bits for early 142 140-160 1968

Ok- so I've been driving people nuts all over the place looking for these parts...

My particular 142 is fairly early, I guess.

I'm striking out completely with everyone- trying to find the centerlink ends.
I've tried all the ussual places, almost all of the specialty places I can think of, and am getting kinda depressed and desperate.

And this is just the centerlink- Tie rods will be double the money and who know what success rate...

If I get really desperate, could I change out the idler arm and steering arm from a later - say '70 to '75 140?

Somebody else must have run into this problem before...
