What would you do in my situation? 120-130

Dan;

6k$....that should/will fix/build you a REAL NICE car...if you're the one doing the work...and why not...its simple (not necessarily always easy) and often textbook stuff...plus you have us to help you out when Qs come up...so you should be able to keep a LOT of that money in your pocket!

My advice: Buy anti-seize, and zinc anti-corrosive electrical paste, and a manual, then go through the basic stuff...tune-up...electrical connections and do a good PM on ignition and carbs...screw a sheetmetal screw with gasket material and gasket goop into that oil pan hole...then drive it...small trips at first, then as confidence builds, longer...and ALWAYS LISTEN to what the car is telling you...from squeaks to growls and moans to, for instance, when a pedal "feels" different from yesterday...these darn little cars will go forever, but when there's something wrong, they first whisper "hey, fix this"...then say it a little louder "hey, fix this"...then finally scream "HEY, fix this"...only then (after you've ignored them, and one might say you deserve a failure), will they crap out on the street somewhere, just like an MG!

Use a lead substitute!

To quote the ad: "Driving it is not bad for it!"

Cheers
