Other undercoating. S90-V90 1998

Yeah, you're right, I don't mind using asphalt-type undercoating, but I try to only apply it to clean, very dry areas. I know, if the water gets under it, it's trouble. My mechanic has some gel-like clear/black undercoating that I think he gets from Steele Chrysler, maybe I should use that stuff. Appears to be good stuff, it doesn't dry up, but seems to soak in and stick fairly well. It also seems to only wear off in high abrasion areas (like the wheelwell). Some of the bottom of the V90 does have factory Volvo undercoating. In the wheelwells, trunk pan, parts of the floor, etc, but it seems they only used it in selected areas for some reason (cost cutting maybe?). The k-frame is painted black, that's it. The jack supports are not coated. So I guess I could just clean and coat the spots with POR-15 like I planned, then just over coat those areas and all unprotected areas with the gel-like stuff, and protect the rest of the body with fluidfilm...Oh man, that's gonna take a few days, haha.
