Replacing the Catalytic Converter on my 240 wagon: Question on Installation 200 1993

Pat Patterson Volvo has diagnosed the rattling under my car is a bad CC. They said I should probably take it to a muffler shop for a 200-250 dollar replacement. I have looked up on the internet at them and the cost is around 90.00 to buy the part. Is this a job that requires welding or is it a slip/bolt on job? (IE can a shadetree mech. like myself do it or will I have to go on and take it in for the welder touch?)
