I wouldn't do that. I'd start out at $2500 OBO and go from there. Some people are going to ask you why you think your '86 245 is worth that much when they can find others for less. Then you are going to show them all the work you did. A gearhead might not want it but a person looking for a good, sound vehicle might very well think the car is worth what you want IF they know that it's a car that will not break down on them as soon as they buy it.

Now here are Bob Adams Laws of Buying and Selling. They have served me well.
1) Remember one thing when you are selling. "You can always lower your price, but it's very hard to raise it."
2) Conversely remember one thing when you are buying. "There is no harm in making a lowball offer. All the saleman can do is say 'No'." Is someone telling you 'No'going to hurt your feelings?

One question though, did you put a new timing belt in it? I would put a new timing belt and flame trap in it.
