warped/bent half shaft? 120-130

My rear-end efforts continue... Last weekend when putting in new rear wheel bearings I found out both of my drums were quite worn and one was warped according to my machinist, and without enough material to turn. Had to button things back up as they were for use this week- the new wheel bearings have definitely quieted things down at the rear a good deal, but there's still a bit of a 'howl' of some kind coming from back there. Only hear it under load at higher speed- it goes away if I coast or let off the gas. Bearings in the diff? Anyway, got the new drums and the hubs mated today with new studs. While the back was up, I started the car and ran it in gear before I put the drums/hubs back on and noticed that the end of the axle on one side has a visible wobble motion as it turns. Argh- a bent or warped half-shaft? Is that a likely thing to happen? Anything else that could cause it to do this?

The new drums are a very tight fit to get on (the shoes have about 5K on them) and actually rub a bit even with the adjuster backed out all the way. Will this wear in, or should I have material taken off the drums? Before the new drums there was a very, very slight pulsing on braking. On the test ride tonight there was quite a bit of pulsing on braking... The warped halfshaft just becoming more apparent with the tight, new drums? Maybe before the rear brakes weren't really doing all that much so it was less noticeable..? Or anything else I ought to check?
