What does the resistance measure in new/er spark plug wires ? 200 1988

So I broke one of my new-ish Bougicord (28k miles on them) spark plug wires while trying to pull the boot off the spark plug. I replaced it with an old wire (red 7mm) I had laying around. The car seems to run ok but when I measured the resistance there's a huge difference between the replacement wire and the Bougicord wires.

The replacement wire reads about 7.8 K-ohms while the Bougicord wires measure about 4 or 5 M-ohms. I couldn't find the correct resistance in the Bentley. I'm wondering which ones are correct/better ? I'm thinking of ordering a new set from FCP, this time I might give the Bosch's a try.
