'84 245 low power - runs well otherwise 200

Just replaced the transfer pump in the tank. The car has good sounding exhaust (CAT not plugged), will climb hills if passing gear is engaged (fuel and air filter not plugged), BUT has lost about 1/2 of it's power in the medium rpm range. It will go about 65 on the level - maximum without downshifting.

Chipmunks are a problem around here and have been known to chew through gas lines and electrical wires. Does this sound like a sensor problem? It started right before the transfer pump quit. (my daughter described it as "the back of the car was holding back the front end" hee hee)

I haven't checked the cam timing or ignition timing yet.
