I lost all the transmission fluid out the tailshaft @ speed. As I drove the car it began to shift in and out of overdrive. Eventually, it stopped shifting completely and as soon as I had to hit the brakes, I lost third gear. The shop replaced the tailshaft bushing, but as soon as I pulled away I noticed that the car would not shift out of first gear. I had the owner drive the car and again the car would not shift and then after a few minutes it shifted. We drove it around and it seemed to be operating OK. Now the transmission will not shift until it gets warm. I have to drive it around the block a couple time before the car will shift out of first. After it shifts into second, it tends to stay there until it shifts more. Then once I get it on the highway it seems fine. It will even shift into overdrive. Then after a short distance it becomes difficult to keep it from down shifting. The slightest change in elevation or pressure from my right foot will cause it to down shift. So far I’ve flushed the fluid (using IPD’s flush kit) and changed the screen.
