top stereo mount: attaches on right also? confused 200

Hi all, I just spent 20 minutes futilely searching the archives so I guess I'll post now.

I have a Pioneer amp/cd player mounted in the top shelf of my '88 245. All was well, but then, I had to go on another DIY project. I took the screws off of the left side, pulled it out, installed an AUX input in the back, ran a wire down and out next to that little coin shelf (where I can now use my mp3 player), and put everything back together. So I thought. When I remove the faceplate of my radio, the whole box gives on the right side and slides towards me. The left side is very secure, thanks to those screws behind the little square plastic doohickeys.

Is there an attachment on the front right? I can't see anything on the side or back of the amp that convinces me it slides into anything or attaches itself... but clearly I screwed up somewhere.

The shop manual wasn't any help for this or my recent debacle with the driver's seat. The stereo's (PEH series) manual doesn't include anything about mounting or external hardware. Damn!
