Windshield trim on a 142 140-160

It has chrome trim. The glass is glued and sealed. I was just concerned about crud getting between the trim and glass, but I guess that't not a big deal. I am having trouble with the trim lying flat against the glass in some places. Some of the clips are missing, which is not a mystery, considering all of the surprises we have found getting this car back together.

If you have any suggestions on getting the trim to fit flat, I'd like to hear more from you. The problem seems to be at the places where two foam (I guess they are) blocks between the glass and body panel.

Thanks,

Jim Hampton
