Converting 240 gas to diesel 200

Hi

Anyone got a pair of genuine 240 244 245 diesel engine mountings they would be willing to send to the United Kingdom?

I live in the UK and have bought a 740 turbo diesel D24T saloon as a donor to convert my 240 - genuine 240 diesels were very are here, they were not officially imported (though a few dealers got hold of a few at the time). I have been looking for years and failed to find one. I like 240's to drive - I have a smashed leg and find the driving position very comfortable - but the cost of petrol (gasoline) is killing, so conversion seems the only option!

I think I have found 240 diesel front springs, but would love to get the proper 240 diesel engine mountings - they would make lining everything up so much better and save me having to fabricate something. I will have to fabricate a gearbox mounting anyway as I intend to put the 740 auto box in as all gears are on the stick without an overdrive, which I think a lot simpler than the 240 setup.

Also, all brochures I have yet seen for the 240 diesel do not mention a turbo, although I think I remember hearing that turbo versions were sold in the States. I am a little worried that the engine bay will be too narrow to take it. Anyone know for sure - I would be sorry to lose the turbo -the 740 is quite a fast machine for a diesel!
