B20F to B21F conversion. 140-160 1974

If your 142 is that much slower than your 245, it is not running well. First things to check would be compression and valve lift. These engines had a camshaft lobe wear problem. A healthy B20 in a 142 should be quicker than a stock 245; almost the same power (more with a conservative cam upgrade) and a significantly lighter car. Getting it healthy will be much easier than the transplant route, unless the engine has cylinder wear issues.

For lots of transplant and turbo/supercharger info, check turbobricks.org
