1988 Volvo 240 Fuel Injected

My volvo is fuel injected and I ran out of gas while idling and trying to charge up the battery, I desperately need help on what I need to do now!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

I am not getting fuel to injectors and it has gas in it now and I am not able to jump start it either, what do I need to do now???? I am a single woman and don't know anything about my car, so could someone out there be kind enough to help me out???? Try to be basic and not automobile literate, I am not literate when it comes to auto's. Can someone tell me is there a switch I can turn on to get fuel to the injectors to start the car. It has now been setting for 5 days without starting and put gas in it today with a 2.5 gal can, is that enough to start the car or not??? PLEASE RESPOND!!!!!
