Not hot air after replacing J-shaped hose that had sprung a leak 700

I have a 86 Volvo 740T. There was a J-shaped hose that sprung a coolant leak right near where it connects to the intake, so I took a knife and cut off the part of the hose that had a leak and reattached it. Now, there is no hot air coming out of the heater. The heater fan is working fine, there is coolant in the system, there is no leak now, but now I have no heat. Did I accidentally disconnect something?
