stripping a s90 for track use

There must be at least 600 lbs of stuff that can be removed. The power seats could be replaced with 940 manual units. You can remove the back seat with little problem. You could pull the power locks out and go with just using the manual units. There has to be at least 200 lbs of insulation in that car. Now the down side it will not be the nice car it is now. I would go find a 94 or 95 940 for a few grand and it would be a lot cheaper and easier to lighten up. I don't think there ever were manual windows in the 940/960/S90's. BTW there is a factory racing suspension for your car. Bad news is the price runs around $2,000.
The 940 on the other hand suspension parts can easily be had from IPD for 1/3 of the Volvo factory sport suspension. IPD doesn't handle the multi-link suspension upgrades.
