144 going in for major surgery. 140-160 1974

Hi guys,
After 16 years since the last major work was done on the motor, I am ready to send my 74 144 in for some work to a guy who specializes on pushrod Volvos. What I have planned include transplanting the M-41, the 75 244 electronic ignition, installing the steel timing gears, rebuilding the Stromberg, and also a valve job. The rear differential has also a slight leak, and whines slightly. I am planning to refill the rear end and the M-41 with Mobil 1 synthetic tranny oil. I have accumulated all the parts, and all that is left it to put them on. Any thing in particular that I should know or look out for when work is beeing done to my car? Or anything else that I should do while my car is in the shop? Many thanks in advance.

PS: I am looking forward to cruising down the interstate in overdrive after 31 years!!
