crash and now what 900

helllo
my 1995 960 is awesome, and i love volvos so much. they are the best car in the world. seriously.
last winter i crashed the right front end, and nearly severed a vital wire near the battery( possibly the ground, but im not sure.)
so a month later im driving and the car shuts off for a few moments. speedometer, tachometer, radio, lights, all disabled for maybe five seconds, and this happens several times.

do you think this could have caused any damage to the engine/transmission? it doesnt seem to have and the repair manual doesnt mention anything like it. anyone have any ideas for me?
thanks
