prepump keeps running after car is shut off? 200

My battery discharged today and I needed a boost to get started. After I got it started, I drove around to charge it up. When I turned the car off, I heard a buzzing sound that was coming form the gas tank(I listened from the gas cap to be sure). A couple of on-offs of the ignition switch and it stopped. Will a faulty pump relay do this? I put a new relay and prepump in a few weeks ago.
