Who's stinking idea was it to change the driveshaft support bushing sometime between '68 and '70? And presumably the tunnel as well?

I'd never noticed the later ones are so much bigger. Now I've got a laid up '68 in my primary parking spot without a driveshaft, and an extra used support bushing for a '70. And it's supposed to start snowing before I can get the right parts... tempting to do some cutting and see if I can't make the wrong part fit..

Arg...
