Cold start/run problem 700 1986

I can't explain why this worked for me, but since it did, it's something you might want to look into. When I first got my used '91 740 had a LOT of trouble starting when it was below freezing out. I tried a bunch of things which didn't help. Then I replaced the fuel pressure regulator because it was leaking gas into the vacuum hose. I didn't do that to fix the cold start problem, but it sure did and it never came back.
