740 Front Wheel Bearings - Grease or Not to Grease 700

My son's 1987 740 turbo is an early 87 since it does not have an airbag. It has ABS with the Bendix front rotors that are the two piece hub and separate rotor. Rotor size is 11.25 inch.

I assume this has been upgraded since I believe the original way it came was with the one piece hub/rotor. I am going to do brakes on it, replacing the rotors also. I would like to know if I can grease the bearings. There is some info that says the replacement two piece system has normal tapered roller bearings.
I am looking to order seal 3516135 and retainer 3516129 which are listed on the FCP Groton website.
Do I really need these? Can I repack the bearings or are they sealed?
And if they are sealed what do these parts do?
