240 wiper motor - maintanance 200 1989

Hello all,

It's about time, though it still works the wiper motor really is starting to sound like a sick cat, whining, squeeling, and sometimes even purring.

I was wondering if anyone has found any possible maintance to help prolong the life of them, after all it's just an electric motor with some gear reduction etc. lube? clean? Any linkage to adjust?

Never took that one apart, been lucky to date.

P.S Sorry to the board about my last non-volvo post, you know I have been contributing my messages for many years now, so I have definately paid my dues, unlike the idiot that replied to me unconstructively only displaying his lack of maturity. Thanks to c_j_mooney for the info. I am signing off on that one...

Thanks in advance,
Greg Mustang
