rough idle on '85 245 200

Hi All:

Trying to get my 1985 245 wagon ready for my 16 year old daughter to drive when she gets her license in a few weeks. The wagon has been sitting in the garage for about a year or so. I bought a fresh battery, checked all fluid levels, and turned the key. She started rather easily (after a bit of "foot pumping").
That's the good news; the bad news is a very rough idle at 750-800 rpm's. Smoothes out a bit at 1000 rpms, and runs smoothly at anything over 1,500 rpms.

Before garageing her last year, I did the following: new plugs, cleaned flame trap, new center carrier bearing, new fuel pump relay. Things I know are needed: new or "resoldered" 4th gear relay for the auto trans; attention to the wiring harness in the engine bay - typical signs of insulation breakdown at sensors, alternator, starter etc.

Could any of this be a possible cause for the rough idle, or am I overlooking something simple? Thanks in advance for your input. What a great feeling to know I could come back to the brickboards and get quality input!
