A Tale of two LSD's... 444-544

George,
I don't think you'll ever find such a beast for a '66 wagon. That was the last year with the Salisbury rear end (wagon only). It's close to a dana 27, but not identical, and it's got an odd axle spline count. 18 spline I think.

If you find a rear from a '67 wagon or later, it'll have a dana 30, but again with a odd spline count... ten spline that is. Different from all other dana 30s out there which have 27 spline axles. So no luck there either unless you find one for a 123gt.

Your 164 also might be a problem... I'm not sure if that would be a dana unit, or an in-house Volvo only rear... If it has a dana 30, it will have the normal 27 spline axles, and any Jeep LSD unit should work fine.

Good luck on that...
