Strange - No AntiFreeze from Coolant Release Nozzle 200 1982

While trying to change my water pump over the weekend,
I loosened the Coolant Release Nozzle on the lower right side
of the engine, but absolutely no antifreeze came out.
I had to pull the radiator hose to empty the coolant.

Later, after installtion, I added new antifreeze through
the plastic expansion tank until full. I was surprised
to see that even after warming up and coolant flowing
through thermostat, there was no additional coolant needed.
I would have expected some air pockets to suck more in.
But, it seems that there's some blockage somewhere.
Any thoughts would be appreicated.
