Soldering:
The same wires that you unsolder you re-solder when you put it back together.
Since they are already well-tinned the soldering is an easy job with a good
solderin' arn.

Once you get it open the damage will be pretty obvious. Take the screw-on
washers off the two contacts/bolts and take them out, and file them more
or less smooth, at least till they are not prickly. Same for the contact
disk on the solenoid core. Then put it back together. Be sure the two screws
are pretty tight since you won't have the potting to keep them from coming back
out. Use your metric screwdriver.
