Power steering line replacement 700

Hi all,

My 1986 745 tic is being stored in my garage. Over the holidays, I was considering doing some work on it, to get it more road worthy. Right now, the high pressure line to the steering rack is leaking badly. I haven't looked at it closely, but I beleive the steel line has rusted through and will have to be replaced.

I assume buying the part from the dealer is going to be expensive. Is there another option? I was thinking maybe I could use brake line, and maybe have a shop terminate it to match the old part. Anyone done this? Any other ideas?

Cheers,

Jeremy
