Testing out of the car 200 1987

Hi Derek,

Most likely the gears in all your odometers are brittle and missing teeth. The new replacement gear for $25 is an option. You can check the function of the odometer/speedometer on the bench without anything fancy - it just needs 12V DC to power it and you can substitute for the speed sensor with any AC wall adapter transformer-- like the one you had to charge that battery drill that is long gone now. It should give you a blazing 22 mph. See http://cleanflametrap.com/speedo for clues about connecting it on your workbench.
