Let me see, does your model have air bags? I forget which years had them but I suspect that yours is late enough that it does. In any case you should have a button in the bottom right corner of the instrument cluster that you can push that will flip the lever on the back of the cluster that will reset your idiot light. In the event that you have a non air bag car then you need to drop the carpeted panel under the steering column and reach up to the back of the cluster and flip the little switch manually. If you had the entire cluster out so you could look at it you would see a little black lever right on the back side of the speedometer, this is what you want to toggle upward. Now on the airbag cars there is a fat steel bolster bolted into place that prevents you from just reaching up there and toggling it up so they put that remote b.s. in the right corner. Often times when you push that piece of junk it tweaks and bends and does everything except throwing that lever and resetting your light. When and if this happens your best bet is to just pull the cluster out far enough to fit your fat hand behind the cluster and flip that switch manually. If you have the air bag style you will need a small round punch, like a pocket screwdriver with the end ground off so all you have is the shaft. Push it in on the face of the button down in that corner and if the light goes off you are good to go and if not you will need to pop the cluster out, sounds like fun huh?
