Yes, they fit. But with a caveat about the weights, and a limit on tire width.
I know it looks like a close call, but there's no problem with the wheels -- even the "horn" (of the rear caliper) isn't a problem, and you should leave it on anyway because they're an integral part of the rear collision protection design -- they transmit impact energy from the rear of the car to the heavy axle, instead of into the rear of the chassis and passenger compartment.
Anyway, because of their greater offset (25mm of the 700s, instead of the 240's 20mm), they're more inboard. Again, not a problem for the wheel, but be sure that you use adhesive weights instead of the traditional clip-on-the-wheel's-edge type of weights, as the inside clip-ons may be big enough to be swiped off, in the rear.
Of greater concern is for the sidewall of the tire -- a concern if they're too wide. I use 205/55RW16 Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 tires. The inboard sidewall was a little close, and had me concerned. But despite hard cornering (often), they bear no marks to indicate rubbing. I wouldn't go any wider than this size. (if you had another type of wheel with less offset, a wider size would be possible).
