Radiator plug? 200

My rad is leaking from what appears to be some sort of hard plastic plug. The dime size diameter plug in the rad is in the upper left hand (passenger side) corner facing the engine and sticks out about 1/3". I twisted it and pulled it out and of course coolant followed so I pushed it back in. Should I glue this thing in? What's it for - pressure relief? Thought that was the job of the reservoir tank. Thanks anyone for your input.
