Car won't start--Checked it out and I don't think it's the battery 200

Dear Brickmeisters--

My 1992 is stuck in a shopping center parking lot. The battery has been sounding a little week but it was starting the car with no problem and I was driving around today (Saturday). Then I try the next time to start it, and...nothing.

Everything else works--even lights and horn. A friend gave me a jumper cable boost. Nothing. No clicking solenoid.

Is there a starter relay on the 1992s? Is there a fuse for that relay? I remember discussions of the infamous 25 amp fuse on earlier models but I thought someone posted that it was deleted in the later years.

I looked in Haynes and they are real vague on this point. We tapped the starter solenoid and that didn't make any difference. I checked the under-dash fuses and they all look ok.

If it's the neutral safety switch--is there any way to bypass that or will I have to get the car towed?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Doug Harvey
