Very good avice so far. But you also have to be able to get behind the wheel, so oil your locks and smear silicone oil on the rubber mouldings.
Carry a set of jump start cables, a small shovel and a towing rope.
A set of snow chains won't hurt either, even if you're on studded: The studs are no good in loose snow anyway. Keep a set of gloves in the chain bag.
Clean the battery connections and keep it fully charged.
Check the coolant low-temp abilities.
Don't leave the car with the emergency brake on, it may freeze.
Consider installing a block heater.
